PUR Spray Laminating System

In the past years, Klieverik award winning technology of contact less spray laminating system with a reactive PUR-glue has won wide recognition within the laminating and finishing industries. It is especially used for sports and leisure wear, winter clothing, hospital supplies and all kind of technical textiles, such as working, safety and military garments, construction and automotive.

PUR Spray Laminating System technology

Reactive polyurethane glue is heated until it becomes liquid. By separate pumps, liquid glue is pumped to a number of specially designed spray nozzles, which atomize the polyurethane glue uniformly over one of the substrates to be laminated. A very thin layer of glue can be applied. (As little as 1,5 gr./mē is possible!)
Immediately after the glue has been applied, the second substrate is pressed onto the first one. The PUR-glue now cross-links by the moisture in the air. After about 8 hours the laminate is suitable for further processing and after about 24 hours the maximum adhesion is obtained. The process control in this spray technology is such that the extremely thin layer of glue is evenly distributed over the full surface, while the dosed amount can be set very accurately. Consequently, the results obtained with this spray laminating technique are highly predictable.
